On July 18, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) voted against the US defense appropriations bill. She also voted against an amendment to the bill submitted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) that would have cut $500 million from funds for Israel’s Iron Dome.

By boosting Israel’s ability to “defend” themselves, American politicians are enabling the aggressive behaviour that they allegedly wish to curtail.
