Bitfinex Securities to Resume USDT-Denominated Tokenized Bond Issuance

Bitfinex Securities, a subsidiary of Bitfinex, has announced the relaunch of its USDT-denominated tokenized bond issuance program. These offerings will be made available to the Luxembourg-domiciled securitization fund ALTERATIVE. The company anticipates issuing over $10 million in these tokenized bonds.

The bonds are set to be issued and settled on the Liquid Network, a Bitcoin sidechain. Key processes, including fundraising, coupon payments, and principal repayment, will be executed entirely on-chain. Since the commencement of its tokenized bond program in 2023, Bitfinex Securities has successfully completed four issuances totaling $6.2 million. Of these, three have matured and been fully repaid, returning approximately $1 million in principal to investors.
