There are many ways to look at this. For example, it could be that Israel actually wants Iran and the US to be weaker. 

Or it could be that two nut cases involved in personal scandals are starting conflicts to maintain their power without any concern for the long term consequences. 

I'm not sure how China's oil supply chain looks at the moment, but beyond that they seem to be unscathed so far.
