Coincheck Acquires Majority Stake in Canadian Digital Asset Management Firm 3iQ

Coincheck Group N.V. has completed the acquisition of approximately 99.8% of the equity in Canadian digital asset management company 3iQ Corp., according to a Business Wire report.

Founded in 2012, 3iQ is a pioneer in the Canadian digital asset space, having launched the country’s first compliant digital asset funds, as well as North America’s first listed Bitcoin and Ethereum funds. The firm also boasts the world’s first Ethereum staking ETF, a Solana staking ETF, and a spot XRP ETF, alongside its digital asset custody platform, QMAP.

3iQ’s established position in regulated digital asset products and custody solutions complements Coincheck’s existing offerings and expands its global reach.
