Correct and why it is that Beijing simply wants to maintain the status quo.  Low time preference thinking is how the system operates here along with a confidence in the direction of travel. 

All of the commentary centered on China making a move on Taiwan comes from Washington DC and the various think tank "Senior Fellows" all of whom are conflicted in the opinions on the topics.   The headlines of "China to move on Taiwan by 2027" is meant - in my opinion - to goad Beijing into said action.  It won't happen.
