Donald J. Trump said in a Sunday morning interview with The Atlantic that Iran’s new leadership has expressed interest in opening talks with him and that he intends to engage in discussions. His remarks came a day after the reported killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several other senior officials during Israeli strikes on Tehran. “They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them,” Trump said, adding that negotiations should have happened earlier and that Iran “waited too long” to accept what he described as a practical and straightforward solution. He made the comments during a phone call from Mar-a-Lago. https://image.nostr.build/0ef71ae2f973a5c7e8a1f45b0afa7b9b6e4e9b40241fc574bbf4417b56422f4a.jpg
