- If you want to expose yourself to spam, use nip17.
- If you want to play with incomplete experiments use all the others.

Nip04 if used with proper encryption behind trusted/paid inboxes is a working solution today with acceptable tradeoffs, like it or not. And creates nice incentives to use DM inbox relays.

Privacy is important but if that comes first, I guess you:
- Prefer Monero to Bitcoin
- Always use Tor instead of VPNs
- Run your own AI infra and not using chatgpt or claude

Or not?

It's a hard choice and quite a headache to find the balance, but we need not be enemies based on this.
What we need is a nuanced discussion.
