The comparison is flawed. I’m talking about a theocratic regime that is the leading threat to global democracy and hangs its own people. Any government that aligns with Iran—including the current shift we see in Brazil—is moving away from democratic values and supporting tyranny. There is no middle ground when it comes to nuclear-armed autocracies.
