‍Paradigm Seeks $1.5 Billion for AI and Frontier Tech Fund

Prominent venture capital firm Paradigm is reportedly raising $1.5 billion for a new fund focused on Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and frontier technologies. This strategic diversification aims to leverage the firm's expertise in identifying high-growth opportunities beyond the blockchain sector.

Paradigm, which currently manages approximately $12.7 billion, sees synergy between crypto and AI, particularly in areas like autonomous AI agents executing on-chain payments. Co-founder Matt Huang stated, "It seems trendy to frame crypto vs AI as a zero-sum competition. But we don’t buy it. Both are interesting and will have plenty of overlap." The firm has previously launched successful crypto funds and an $850 million early-stage fund in 2024.

This move aligns with the broader venture capital trend, where AI has become a dominant investment focus, attracting substantial capital globally.
