What he is not talking about that people who get laid off , they will start new things that will not only make their employers partly redundant but also create 10 x more jobs ..  the reason is 

a) AI is the easiest thing to learn ( unlike GUI or CLI )  

 b) AI enables small teams to build real stuff ..
