The people who point to high level, state sponsored attacks that rek someone and use it as a justification for why I'm dumb for resisting and not just totally giving into whatever company, service, or politician wanting unfettered access to my property and data.

Yes, there are ways to get gotten. And if you find yourself on the NSA shit list, you probably are fucked. The CIA can get you in your driveway and make it look like a heart attack. But that doesn't mean we should all just throw shit to the wind and stop fighting. That just makes the world even worse.

There's a reason all of these seemingly lower level attacks on tools and privacy are happening. It's still really expensive to carry out the types of state level attacks these zombies point to. Why make it easier for them to one-shot all of us? Why allow companies to abuse us simply because a state could spend a billion dollars on an intricate attack?

I'm reminded of the politicians who smugly laughed at Americans wanting rifles since the US military could easily destroy them. For one, dumb fuck, we've seen that movie before and that isn't how it played out. Second, why make yourself vulnable to all enemies simply because there's one you may not beat? That's just a dipshit take.
