It's incredibly important that the US does not attack Iran. It would cause a mass exodus of innocent people and repeat a tragic history. The US has toppled a democratically elected leader in Iran (1953) to control its oil. It choked the country with sanctions for 40 years, and sanctions always hurts the poorest the most. Now Rubio want to seize their uranium, and we see the same playbook as "Kushner's Tehran 2030" that we're seeing in Gaza. If anyone thinks the US bombing Iran now would be for "humanitarian" purposes, they have lost the plot. It's the same story again and again - Burkina Faso, Niger, Iraq, Libya, the list goes on. Label a country with an "evil government," bomb the crap out of them, then steal from them. This has been the modern colonization playbook post-WW2. And worst of all, there is major damage to the world from decades of US carpet bombing. In Laos, 80 million unexploded bombs have left 40% of its land remaining unusable till today. How is this ok? Princess D campaigned against landmines in countries where bombs still hurt people decades later. And let's talk about the political benefits, because war isn't just about resources. For Netanyahu and Trump, a massive conflict serves two purposes: it advances the "Greater Israel" narrative and allows both leaders to extend their presidential power during a time of uncertainty. The Iranian people don't need "saving." Iran has more women in STEM than the US, more theoretical physicists than Caltech produces, and is a top developer of drone technology. Iranians are brilliant, capable people. They don't want a regime nor do they want foreign interference. They can figure out their own government if given the agency to do so. Stop the sanction. Build tools to give them agency. But please, don't bomb the crap out of innocent people. I am deeply disturbed by how brazenly rogue the US government has become.
