I would proffer that Bitcoin is now a Complex System rather than a complicated system. It satisfies Complex System criterion because many participants are now ideological actors rather than simply economic (⊆ rational choice) actors.

Users and Merchants can now behave ideologically, by preferentially transacting main chain vs layer 2's. Many merchants are able to generate margins on sales of goods that are way in excess of main chain transaction fees, and this makes it viable for non-time sensitive merchants to cover (i.e. rebate or discount) main chain transaction fees and offer additional discounts/incentives thereby using 'nudge' to make main chain payments preferential to Lightning etc.

The spammers think they have all this figured out because of 'Game Theory' but they can't accurately model complexity. Ideological users and merchants can dump the price, decide whether to feed mining ops, and all sorts of other things. #welcometocomplexsystems #fuckoffbacktoeth
