Ethereum Foundation Launches Project Odin to Foster Sustainable Funding for Key Infrastructure

The Ethereum Foundation has announced the initiation of Project Odin, a structured support program aimed at bolstering the financial sustainability of critical infrastructure teams within the Ethereum ecosystem. This 12-month initiative, driven by ecosystem participants, seeks to enable these teams to develop diverse and resilient funding streams, thereby reducing their reliance on single grant sources.

Project Odin will embed strategic advisors within selected teams from the outset to guide their sustainability planning. This guidance will encompass research into funding pathways, validation of business models, and assistance with partnership development and execution. The ultimate goal is to help these teams establish at least one repeatable "revenue-like" funding source, such as support contracts, service agreements, or training collaborations.

The Foundation for Verified Software has been named as the first pilot team to participate in this new program.
