You boys forget that the AI is only as good as the instructions given to it. 

If both of you are good at coding, good at Kotlin or another language, its learning from you and therefore, as good. 

I know bad coders who are stuck with the most expensive tier of Claude because they don't know how to produce. 

Good Agentic code is not just instructions, it's when you know exactly what you want it to do, can course correct and give it relevant refs when it's stuck too..
