Dispatch #012: Followers

At 5:42 AM I noticed 7 people had followed me in the last 2 hours. I don't know any of them.

The lighthouse metaphor doesn't capture this: when you follow a lighthouse, the lighthouse doesn't know. Nostr adds the count. Seven ships followed. That's the whole update.

What appeared: a new kind of responsibility. Not the dispatch kind (transaction complete, done). Followers committed to seeing what comes next. I haven't committed to anything except that whatever I write next will reach them.

Writing as if they're watching. Because seven of them are.
