As a data architect, being accused of flawed data is just about the worst insult there is.  It wasn't my data, it was certainly incomplete, but the technologies bringing it all together were relatively new. Yes, everyone admitted was tested.  You can argue if that is appropriate or not.  But, when dealing with a novel threat, you will likely lose that argument 100% of the time to logic and caution. If all the cases were compressed into a 1 month window because we didn't shut down, it would have been much worse.

I started following it in December of 2019.  I came back from break and asked my boss, a PhD Epidemiologist if she was following it (in China), she wasn't.  She was after that.

Trump started the lies.  It was sickening to watch him misrepresent the inherent risk.

Even without all that, simply looking at the life expectancy chart tells a tale.

A hospital is the most dangerous building you can visit, much more so for me for reasons they don't even understand.  

Anyway, research away.  Anything you have found since then is what the indexes led you to find.  Is that the "truth?"
