just because me and you can relate to people like Massie ( engineer ) or Rand Paul ( surgeon ) doesn't mean the average person can.

this is why Newsom recently told black voters that he too is a Nigger because he can't read or something like this.  the biggest hurdle for people on the top in politics is being relatable to Joe Blow Average.

this is how Mitt Romney lost - he was tall, handsome, well spoken, impeccable credentials as a family man - but he just couldn't shake off the image of being upper class.  he made comments along the lines of "i will need to have my lawyers look at this" or "i support Detroit workers - my wife has two Cadillacs" and so on.
