The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced the selection of four companies – Monee Financial Technologies, ReStabilise, Revolut, and VVTX – to participate in its regulatory sandbox. These firms will test stablecoin services under a proposed regulatory framework. The initiative received 20 applications, with testing scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026. The focus will be on stablecoin issuance across various use cases, including payments, wholesale settlement, and crypto trading. The new regulatory regime is expected to be fully implemented by October 2027.
