seems inevitable that the distillation attacks we're seeing from the chinese open weight cos against american labs like anthropic & gemini  will be used as justification to restrict access to frontier models via KYC, only available through first party apis/tools etc. maybe even ban use of open weight models deemed to be trained on stolen IP (lol)
