Sexism and Nationalist Contempt. 

Trump called the U.S. men’s hockey team after they won gold and celebrated with them, inviting them to the White House by a military plane. 

You know what said about the women’s hockey team, who, by the way, also won gold? He joked and mocked them: “We’re going to have to bring the women’s team… I’d probably be impeached if they weren’t invited.”

What the fuck. The women made history, won gold, and he mocked them. Hockey players laughed along while he literally made women’s achievements a joke. This is straight up misogyny.

And of course, he went further: he posted an AI video of himself punching Canadian players in the face. Mocking opponents, mocking women. 

We should not normalise this behaviour. Women work hard, win gold, and this is the treatment they get from the President of the United States. Absolutely shameful.
