The US is evacuating its Lebanon embassy now in anticipation of a regional war

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now holding security consultations regarding the latest developments in the "Iranian arena," according to Israeli Channel 13.

 Israeli Defense Minister Katz, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Head of the IDF Intelligence Directorate Shlomi Binder, Director of Mossad David Barnea, and other senior officials have also joined the security consultations regarding Iran with PM Netanyahu.

🇺🇸🇮🇷Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine has been advising President Trump and top officials that a military campaign against Iran could carry significant risks, in particular the possibility of becoming entangled in a prolonged conflict, according to Axios.

➡️ Although Caine strongly supported the Venezuela operation, he has taken a more measured approach regarding Iran. One source described him as a “reluctant warrior” in this context, noting that he views the stakes in Iran as far higher, with greater risks of entanglement and U.S. casualties.

➡️ Caine is not pushing for a strike but would carry out and support whatever decision Trump ultimately makes. 

➡️ Another source familiar with his thinking said he is not opposed to military action but is realistic about the likelihood of success and the potential consequences once conflict begins. 

➡️ In recent weeks, Caine has been the sole military official briefing Trump on Iran.
