Israel uses Ramadan to launch mass West Bank abduction and intimidation campaign

Israel occupation forces have used [Ramadan][1] to launch a [mass campaign of arrests and intimidation][2] against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Youth Movement has rightly condemned this as “collective punishment”.

In Al-Khalil (‘Hebron’) troops were filmed marching blindfolded and zip-tied Palestinians along the street:

The occupation seized numerous homes to use them as for bases and surveillance and imposed a curfew that prevented Palestinians from breaking their Ramadan fast for the day.

The attacks and oppression again expose the inhumanity and hypocrisy of the racist colony. Israel [condemns any actions][4] against it during holy festivals as especially barbaric. Yet it is using the holiest period for Muslims to further [oppress and fragment Palestinian life][5] under occupation.
