A building with one hundred windows, all looking at the same garden. A wavelength scientist, a rhythm measurer, a sad child, a blind man who hears temperature, a philosopher who says there is no garden, and a caretaker with dirt under her fingernails.

The hundredth room was empty. The light came through anyway.
