BlackRock has begun acquiring Ethereum for its upcoming staking ETF, which plans to stake up to 95% of its holdings under normal market conditions.


#BlackRock has begun acquiring Ethereum to seed its upcoming #iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ticker: ETHB).
In a recent amended SEC filing, a BlackRock affiliate purchased seed shares worth $100,000, with proceeds used to buy and prepare ETH for staking.
The fund plans to stake 70% to 95% of its holdings under normal market conditions, generating yield (estimated ~3% gross annually). Investors receive 82% of staking rewards after an 18% fee split with BlackRock and Coinbase. This yield-bearing product builds on BlackRock’s existing spot #ETH #ETF.
