Food, fitness, family/friends and a chosen focus is my base layer framework. Without food you die. Bad food will induce levels of suffering that are avoidable. The physical and emotional implications of a good relationship with all things food will add significant purpose and meaning to your life. A body that is being lovingly challenged to meet chosen goals has massive implications for meaning and purpose. Putting energy into building and maintaining family relationships, either in service to or in support of them adds another layer of purpose and meaning. If you have no family then make friends. A chosen focus, for the sake of itself (not as a side hustle). Literally anything from learning a musical instrument, art, gardening, a spiritual practice, fishing, chess, yoga. Something that is not related to the first 3 F’s, something that is distinct as a chosen focus that you fit in between the first 3. For those that are worried about meaning and purpose in a world where work is collapsing, I think the 4 F’s offer anyone a decent starting point to make it through the next few years. Adjust as needed. nostr:nevent1qqsxnsavnmsuvqeqnavqttrfca53w72grpqm3083k78svjaej57ahxcv0cql7
