What do you think about the stuff that was going on in eastern Ukraine before the war. I've come to believe that Russia was wrong to invade but was motivated / agitated partly out of geopolitical defensive reasons "defacto NATO" on their door step and ethnic Russians who are Ukrainian being slaughtered because of who they are.

Do you think there is any truth to that?

I can't imagine living through what the Ukrainians have lived through.
