Major US Stock Indices Close Lower, Coinbase and Circle See Over 4% Drop

Major US stock indices collectively closed in negative territory on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.34%, the Nasdaq Composite declined 1.43%, and the S&P 500 index dropped 0.83%.

The cryptocurrency and blockchain sector experienced broad declines. Coinbase (COIN) saw its stock price fall by 4.36%, Circle (CRCL) dropped 4.59%, Bitmine (BMNR) decreased by 1.97%, and MicroStrategy (MSTR) also registered a loss of 4.56%.

In commodity markets, spot gold prices rose above $4980 per ounce, marking a 0.85% increase on the day. Spot silver, after initially falling over 2%, turned positive and was trading at $85.18 per ounce.
