Rails Launches "Institutional Vault" on Stellar Network Crypto derivatives provider Rails has announced the launch of its "institutional vault" on the Stellar network, according to Cointelegraph. This new product allows brokers, fintech firms, and other intermediaries to access cryptocurrency perpetual contract trading through a single backend. Rails plans to introduce options trading in the second quarter of 2026. Rails CEO Satraj Bambra stated that the core design philosophy behind the product is the separation of trading matching and fund custody. Customer assets will be held in audited smart contract vaults on Stellar, while Rails will operate a centralized matching engine. Every 30 seconds, profit and loss, fees, and liability data will be submitted on-chain in the form of Merkle roots, enabling institutions to independently verify their holdings. This architecture is intended to mitigate counterparty and operational risks by segregating client collateral from market-making capital and company operating funds. #crypto #blockchain #news
