Lord knows, it's about time for a good news story.

At Doctor's Point outside Dunedin, Dylan Norfield has transformed 5,000m (just over an acre) of wilderness filled with with gorse, broom and pines into a beautiful garden.

"His property has just been named by the NZ Gardens Trust as a five-star garden. It can be viewed by private appointment."
