It’s not that simple, though, unless you’re using a custodial service. Yet, instead of improving the self-custodial UX, “genius” devs are working hard to accommodate arbitrary data on-chain, tokenize shitcoins, onboard every decent wallet provider with altcoins named after balls, and pursue all sorts of other nonsensical pet projects. Meanwhile, we still don’t have a proper node client that doesn’t suck ass from the users’ perspective - one that could easily be hooked to a miner, has proper indexing without an Electrum server on top, or a built-in wallet that doesn’t also suck ass. Not to mention, we’re probably years away from running nodes on our phones that don’t suck ass too. Pardon my French. So I don’t know what exactly “feels as simple as sending a text”. nostr:nevent1qqsqdcr67hxjva8wuj0w9hr7wlkmsn7n890632c2utyr8amcfvjsp6qpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgcnuh3y
